The God Test in Filipino

Sharing the Gospel to the older generation has been so close to my heart. I lost Inang ( my great grandmother) last year and what kept my heart from being  shattered is the opportunity to share the Gospel to her while she's still alive.  The Gospel is the power of God to save and  I believe and I know that I'll see, hug and call out "INANGGGG" again in heaven.

Speaking of grandmothers, I visited my friend's house last weekend and met her grandmother. When I'm about to go home, it broke my heart when she said, "Balik ka ulit dito hah? Sa burol ko." In my mind,  I'm screaming "Please no, Lola!!! Hear and believe the Gospel first!!!"

So, gusto mo rin ibahagi ang mabuting balita (good news / gospel)  sa Lola , Lolo,  Nanay, Tatay, Tita, Tito o sa mga malayo mong kamag-anak gamit ang mga tanong sa "The God Test" ni Ptr. Rice Brooks? Ewan. Ako lang ba ang nahihirapan?  Haha. Anyway, I just want to share the questions I asked Nanay Lydia (my Lola and Inang's daughter)  when I shared the Gospel to her some months ago using Side B of The God Test. This might make you laugh or raise your eyebrow, but more than that,  I hope this will  help and inspire you to reach out to the generation ahead of us.

Sample spiel to start (of course it depends on your relationship with them):
"Lola, may mga tanong lang po ako tungkol po sa pananampalataya nyo, ok lang po ba? "

1. Do you believe in God?
Naniniwala po ba kayo sa Diyos?

2.  How would you describe God?
Maaari mo bang ilarawan ang Diyos?

3. What does God expect of us?

4. How are you meeting those expectations? Scale 1 -10

(Sobrang hirap nito, promise! Hahahaha)

(Give me an alternative way! Hahaha! HKRB! Miraculously, naintindihan naman ni Lola, haha)

5. Do you believe in Heaven?
Naniniwala ka po ba na mayroong Langit?

6. Does everyone go?

7. Do you believe you will go to heaven?

8.  Why or why not?
Bakit po? Bakit po hindi?

9. Would you like to know what the Bible says about these questions?

(I'm so excited for this moment!!! Go go go!!! Share the Gospel!!!!)

10. Are you willing to follow Jesus and trust Him with your life?

(Then lead her in a prayer and pray for her!)

Yes! Congratulations! You just shared the greatest love story sa iyong pinakamamahal  na Lola , Lolo,  Nanay, Tatay, Tita, Tito!!! I'm rejoicing with you! I pray that they'll be discipled as well.

This is not official and  not even professional translation (obviously). I'm not sure din if may Filipino version na sa The God Test App. If meron na, then cool, right? But then if you have a better translation  or ideas please do PM me on Facebook, comment below or just do it your way. :)

falling in love loving women falling in love with Him

She's so simple, so pretty.
She smiles but it's empty.
She needs a hug, a company.
She needs strength, love, security, joy,  identity.

She needs Jesus really.

I've been longing to share Him to her.
What-a-life it would be for her.
I know He's the only solution
to all her pain and  confusion.
I'm excited for what she'll become!
Yes, a  woman after God's heart will come.

She's broken and breaking within
Got to be with her again and listen
Come on Holy Spirit!
Let's encourage her and pray!

Just when I thought it's all over,
She read out a reviewer
A  door was suddenly opened
I just find myself sharing the Gospel!

Heaven rejoices as she accepted
Our Lord Jesus Christ and His blood shed
I declare peace and wholeness for her heart
I'm sure though that His love will never part

She' s so simple, so pretty
She smiles and  it's not empty
She got a hug, a company
She found strength, love, security, joy, identity

Jesus' all she needs really

What-a-privilege, what-a-joy to be used by Him
I'm falling in love loving women and may they all fall in love with Him.

God Testing a girl at PUP Manila

It's Korea's Hangeul day so I don't need to go to work yesterday. In the morning, I showered myself with His Word through devotions. Everything's incredibly about sharing the Gospel!

One person at a time.
2 Corinthians 2:1-5
Romans 1: 1-17
Leader's Camp Podcast by Ptra. Faythe Santiago

I just had a vision/desire of doing the God test in PUP. (Ooops I should post something about Leader's Convergence and God's Not Dead and the God Test  but well yeah, maybe soon. Here's the link  for you to further understand what the God Test is : http://www.thegodtest.org/

I asked  my Spiritual Daughters to come with me,  but due to some circumstances, they can't make it. I went to PUP - alone.

Looked around..looked for that one alone girl that I'll share the Gospel with. When I sat near the Chapel..I saw one girl! She's glowing (I mean when you got a target, she just glows..right? whatever. Haha) But fear ate me up. Whoo.. Inhale, exhale..when I got the courage, suddenly her friends came!! whut? huhuhu.

I stayed in my place hoping for one more girl to be alone (oh, how I wish  girls to be alone just for yesterday) A girl came near me! NEAR ME! I can't believe the opportunities but just like on the first girl..I hesitated. What?  yeah, I did and I'm..

As ate Maricar said to me last week, when that happens, usually, the flesh and the spirit were fighting. It's like there's really a battle inside. It's so frustrating when I let my fears and doubts to win. :(

Walked around again, I decided to go to the linear park. It's such a memorable place to me because we used to have a VG there.  As the wind  and the not-so-good smell greeted me, I just remember that I also lifted up all of my plans after graduation here.

I sit down for I could see a girl studying alone  (but she seems so busy and serious). Sighing, there are couples around too. :( I'm slowly losing hope..Suddenly  another girl is coming! She sat down near me...My heart fluttered..I just know..I should do this.. I should do this.. I could do this...come on!!! I just can't stop looking at her. So nervous and all. haha!

So there, I relied on the Spirit. I introduced myself. Smile. Kinakabahan to be rejected but the go lang! Wal nang atrasan ito! Question 1 - 9..whew..and then 10 "Are you willing to follow Christ and trust Him with your life?"

She nod.

Me: "Yes?"

"Yes!"

We prayed.
I prayed for her.
I asked for a prayer request.
We prayed for her Mom.
And she cried.

I realized, grabe, how much more students pa ang kailangan ng prayers for the situations that they're in? Oh there's so much more students who need Jesus - the answer to everything!!!!

Tara, mag God Test pa!

It's not easy but it's simple.

There would still be battles. But His Spirit will win. You know we're fighting from victory right?

"Hello PUPian, want to take the God Test?" :)
