Amazed

Dear Dad,

I'm so amazed. Too amazed that I don't even know how and where to start. Honestly, I thought 2014 would just be a "so so" year for me since 2013 was really such a huge one. I'm a little ashamed that I even had that thought. I'm sorry. :(  But now, a day before Your Son's birthday and a few days before the year ends. Yes, I'm amazed. Too amazed. I realized that words are such an understatement. Natutulala , kinikilig at napapa WOW na lang talaga ako.

I'm amazed on how You talked to me while waiting for a promise, on how You encouraged me, on how You moved in my behalf. Indeed, my Dad, You're the One who will fulfill and I only need to be still.

I'm amazed on how You increased my faith, on how You corrected me, secured me...

I'm amazed on how You orchestrated everything. Amazed to be your Daughter..

Lord, thank You for allowing me to witness Your greatness. I will never be worthy but I am loved by You still.

I'm excited to compile my 2014 Answered Faith Goals and to share how You surprised  me with one of those.  HAHAHA!

You're more than AMAZING DAD! Iba Ka talaga!

                                                                                                                               You're beloved,
                                                                                                                                    Ycah

On Devotion

Notes from listening to Ben Stuart's Pure and Simple Devotion

Pure and Simple Devotion from Desiring God on Vimeo.

Be completely deeply  Honest to God. (It's not disrespectful to be honest.)
Ready the soil. Ready your heart.
The Word of God  is a seed for your heart . Get rid of the weeds (the passion for other things).
Have an open heart and attentive mind.
You're keeping yourself from the Word kaya ka na be -beat up!
2 different colored pens.

1 narinig
2 God spoke to me

When worried:

What are you worried about?
I worry that I won't be glorified :(
Compassion for people compels us to speak.

I pour out my heart.
I rest in the Lord.
I move

Be consistent:

A time

A place

A plan

Celebrate 30 Victory Ubelt

After Race for Life, it's  time for Celebrations! The birth-month of our Lord Jesus started and there would be Christmas here and there. Actually, I worry a little because of the packed schedule:

Nov. 29 - Race for life, Ushering Ministry Christmas Party (done)
Nov. 30 - Grapeindor Post Bonding  (done)  in Victory Metro East and Darrren's house in Taytay Rizal. :)

Dec. 2 - Celebrate 30 (Appreciation Night)
Dec. 6 - Junior Kids, Team 4, Intercessors, Team COC, Singles Christmas Parties
Dec. 13 - Boarding House Christmas Party (I can't come)
Dec. 14 - Arroyo / High School Christmas Party
Dec. 19 - YBM/ Workplace Christmas Party
Dec. 20 - VFs , LIFEbox PUP Alumni Homecoming
Dec. 21 - Enchanted Kingdom
Dec. 27 - Prayer Mountain

See? Scary right? hahaha! I'm in need of wisdom where to go.

Anyway, what I'm going to share tonight though is what happened last Dec. 2 - Celebrate 30 (Appreciation Night). :)

What happened?

I hastily went to Pals Salon that afternoon after work  to have mani and pedi plus Hair cut. My patience was really tested since I have to waaaaiiiiit when I have to hurry. Everything went well but sa pagmamadali ko, muntik na ako madulas sa LRT station! Haha! Super panic as I went to Morauda''s residence because they've been waiting for us! I really don't like it when people are waiting for me or when I offend them or disturbed them.  :(

In the end as I look at myself in the mirror..Wow! I'm so bongga pala! Haha!

Waited for the Van, laughed so hard in my little brother Gilbert's jokes (PNR stories)  on the way there and all! We've been lost and there jokes like "malapit na tayo sa promised land!" "after so many years in the wilderness"! When we're finally there, we shouted "It is finished! The Victory is won!" So fun! We arrived exactly when they're about to eat dinner! Table 47 represent!

I really noticed that everyone are just so stunning that night! Paano pa kaya pag nasa glorified bodies na kami? hehe.

I'm also  thrilled to see SaBu (Sarah Bulahan of Victory QC) and Moira Rachelle (I'm not sure of her Victory center). I love them and their voices! The number are so nostalgic and nakakakilig! Haha. Since throwback is basically a theme too. A couple was singing kahit maputi na ang buhok ko when my former crush walked in front of me. hehe. Well, throwback. Guard the heart please! The pastors performed plus Yeng Constantino gave a message for all of us. Amazing!

The night was filled with "Thank You"s (it's a thanksgiving banquet after all).  they gave us 5 stickers of thank you and give them to the five people that I'm really thankful.

I gave mine  to:

1. Ma'am Lanie
2. Ate Jovie
3. Ana
4. Gabby
5. Kuya MJ

They gave huge impact in my spiritual life and  I'm so thankful for them!

I'm so happy to receive Thank you Stickers too from:

1. Ana
2. Mela
3. Jimna
4. Kuya Mark (from Kids Ministry).

Of course, in the end we give thanks to THE ONE who made everything possible. THE ONE who orchestrated everything. THE only  ONE reason  - JESUS!!!!

THANK YOU!!!!!

Race for Life 2014

Weekends are just so precious. So gotta spend it in a meaningful way!

Last Saturday (November 29, 2014), I spend it Running For LIFE. I mean I ran in Race For Life. It's
for the benefit of Real Life Foundation. As Kuya Jek puts it " This race is an annual event held by Real Life for their scholars, where proceeds are raised for the young and underprivileged scholars that the foundation have picked to send to school! "

To know more about them please watch this vid (this inspires me so much):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2kaF33znYY

You know, Education is such an elusive thing for me years ago too. I really values it and God showed Himself as a great provider and Dad because HE allowed me to finish school (*tears) #forevergrateful). I'm so happy for the foundations or people who are just genuinely helping kids to study. :) I'm glad that the compassion ministry of my Church focuses on this. :)

This is one of my Answered Faith Goals of 2014 that is why it is so important to me. 'been wanting to joining Race for Life for years now! What-great-bonding time with my VF and Buddy Arlene too!

Plus kilig since I met one of my favorite blogger that morning!  Ta-daaa! With Kuya Jek! :)

I thought I will not be exhausted and all since it's only a 3K run BUT, we ended up satisfied with the perspiration, distance and all. What-a-fun run when you're running together. I hope to bring more of my girl friends there next year! It's such a cool run too because of all the freebies and free tastes!

What's really inspiring is the unity of everyone in Being a Buddy and Helping Somebuddy. :)
Pastors, staffs, people from different Victory centers in Metro Manila!

I'm looking forward for next year's run! :)

I LOVE THURSDAY! Aside from hearing and seeing  Pastor Paul Herrera (Youth Pastor of Victory Caloocan) for the first time,  I really enjoyed last night because of  these people from my College - COC (College of Communication) ! Here we are conquering  the burger, sundae and fries! My co-leaders met second year and 1st year students!

I even met someone to One 2 One and someone who will join my VG! WAAAH! Yeah! COC for Jesus!

Discovering Pastel

I just can't strop scrolling and staring! Indeed I'm falling in love with Pastel!

Well, I remember during my graduation (more than a year ago), Pastel was  the required dress color. I never mind about it  before. Not knowing I'll meet Pastel again last night! My little sister is Christ showed me the sample dresses for our upcoming Appreciation Night. They we're all so beautiful! I just wish to wear 'em all! (sigh). :)

So today, I surf the net  to look for more of Pastels! Here are some!

I'm so excited to go shopping and stare and  admire Pastel colored stuffs!

See, I even changed my the design of my blog today into a Pastel inspired one (I did tried hard!) Some weeks ago I turned this into a minimalist. I simply loved black, gray and white...but then! I discovered PASTEL. HAHA.

I'm really really really  excited! I think I'll have a Pastel themed Dresses in the future and so does Wedding and House..and.. and.. and!!!! Teehee!

Our Prayer, Alive

December last year, I started to teach my Korean student named Bora (she said it’s from Deborah) . I enjoyed talking to her and as days passed I discover that she also has the same faith as mine (she’s a Christian) . We “click” right away and we started exchanging prayer requests, verses or testimonies.

One of her prayers is to become pregnant soon. I think she’s been married for three years at that time and yet they still don’t have a child. So there, we prayed for her womb and by faith we believed for her future baby. :)

By January (I think) I was so thrilled when she told me that our prayer has been answered! She’s pregnant! Well, our God is awesome and powerful and amazing and faithful and.. (insert all the synonyms that you could think of) Haha.

9 months and we just talked about the preparation, the plans, the name (Ha ol) and pray and pray and pray.

Today, when I called her, she told me the good news! Ha ol was born yesterday! She gave birth already!

What’s more amazing is that, she still bother to talk to me and update me though she just had the surgery! Oh, just one of the things that I love about my job - meeting a lot of people from other nation and just have a chance to part of their lives and impact it somehow in a way that could encourage them.

Our prayer is now a baby. Alive and kicking there in South Korea. Thank You Jesus! :)

You're Not Alone - Owl City

Again,  I'm kilig (thrilled)  to discover this song! In a radio interview here , Adam explain the inspiration behind the song and said in the end,  "Ultimately, the message of this song is despite all odds, there is hope. And that hope is Jesus Christ."  :)

"You're Not Alone"

Owl City
(feat. Britt Nicole)

[Adam:]
Some days I barely hold on
When life drags me down
I wanna let go
But when my spirit is weak
You come to my aid
And strengthen my soul

I’m lost without You
I’ll never doubt You
Your grace is beyond compare
And though when it rains, it pours
You know all I have is Yours
You smile when you hear my prayer

You rescued me and I believe
That God is love and He is all I need
From this day forth for all eternity
I’ll never wander on my own
For I am Yours until you call me home
I close my eyes and I can hear You say
You’re not alone!
You’re not alone!

[Britt:]
Some days I just can’t go on
I stumble and fall
And I hang my head
But You reach out for my hand
And You lift me up
Again and again
Oh, yes, You do

[Both:]
I’m lost without You
I’ll never doubt You
Your grace is beyond compare
And though when it rains, it pours
You know all I have is Yours
You smile when you hear my prayer
You rescued me and I believe
That God is love and He is all I need
From this day forth for all eternity
I’ll never wander on my own
For I am Yours until you call me home
I close my eyes and I can hear You say
You’re not alone!
You’re not alone!

[Adam:]
In the face of my depravity

[Britt:]
For God so loved the world He died for me
Yeah

[Both:]
My fire burns ‘til He returns
And takes me home beyond the galaxy

[Britt:]
You rescued me and I believe
That God is love and He is all I need
From this day forth for all eternity

[Adam:]
All eternity!

[Both:]
I’ll never wander on my own
For I am Yours until you call me home
I close my eyes and I can hear You say
You’re not alone!
You’re not alone!

[Britt:]
You’re not
You’re not alone
Never alone...

The Poem I wish to Write

The poem I wish to write
For You, I just want to be right
To be as lovely and colorful like the daisies
To sparkle like fairies in their Pixies

No need to try hard remembering the bliss
Being with You who's faithful with every promise
Shines so  bright like the stars in the darkest depth
With You Abba by my side,we even overcame death!

I'm now in the third stanza, oh! What-a-moment!
I don't know if it's allegory, haiku, ode or sonnet
Thrilled, here's the loved, saved-by -Your-grace me
Jesus how beautiful Your love that forever set me free

Every stroke, erasure, curve , words I offer
For You took notice, behold, chosen and prefer
This little girl in the bedroom that seem never to get better
Having You in this lifetime make everything just the Best, Father

The poem I wish to write
For You, I just want to end right
Two minutes, I don't need to think twice
Everything's for Your glory, may Your Name be lifted High! :)

There must've been something in the...

Now I'm changed..

Now I'm stronger..

There must be something in the water..!

Here's the new song of Carrie Underwood, Something in the Water! It would really remind you of your baptism. Oh Victory Weekend! Oh day day you publicly proclaim that by his Grace, you are a follower of Christ! I discover this through my spiritual brother Darren in his own site ( http://justkeepthefaithheneverfails.tumblr.com/ )

He said, "I've been where you've been before.
Down every hallway's a slamming door.
No way out, no one to come and save me.
Wasting a life that the Good Lord gave me.

Then somebody said what I'm saying to you,
Opened my eyes and told me the truth."
They said, "Just a little faith, it'll all get better."
So I followed that preacher man down to the river and now I'm changed
And now I'm stronger

There must've been something in the water
Oh, there must've been something in the water

Well, I heard what he said and I went on my way
Didn't think about it for a couple of days
Then it hit me like a lightning late one night
I was all out of hope and all out of fight

Couldn't fight back the tears so I fell on my knees
Saying, "God, if you're there come and rescue me."
Felt love pouring down from above
Got washed in the water, washed in the blood and now I'm changed
And now I'm stronger

There must be something in the water
Oh, there must be something in the water

And now I'm singing along to amazing grace
Can't nobody wipe this smile off my face
Got joy in my heart, angels on my side
Thank God almighty, I saw the light
Gonna look ahead, no turning back
Live every day, give it all that I have
Trust in someone bigger than me
Ever since the day that I believed I am changed
And now I'm stronger

There must be something in the water (amazing grace)
Oh, there must be something in the water (how sweet the sound)
Oh, there must be something in the water (that saved a wretch)
Oh, there must be something in the water (like me)
Oh, yeah

I am changed (I once was lost)
Stronger (but now I'm found)
(was blind but now I see)

I like what she said in an interview because of some criticism:

"Country music is different," she told Glamour magazine. "You have that Bible Belt-ness about it. I'm not the first person to sing about God, Jesus or faith [or] any of that, and I won't be the last. And it won't be the last for me, either. If you don't like it, change the channel."

Definitely it will not be the last and her last because when you experience His love, you just can't stop expressing your gratefulness! Your heart will just be so full and it will really just overflow!

When it comes to the song, actually it's not simply about the "Water". It's about the faith on what Jesus did on the cross and this is just how we respond to that. :) I used to think that it's the mark of conversion for me. But nah, conversion (An event that results in a transformation) apparently happened when we accepted Him. Did you already accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Then boom! Converted ka na! Converted in a sense, just like what the song's lyrics says..

"I am changed (I once was lost)
Stronger (but now I'm found)
(was blind but now I see)"

There must've been something in His love!

"Hungry (Falling On My Knees)"

This afternoon that I just feel so sad I don't know why..so burdened..so down..His joy..oh His joy...One of His way to encourage me, I discovered this song by Joy Williams:

Hungry I come to You
For I know You satisfy
I am empty but I know
Your love does not run dry
So I wait for You
So I wait for You

I'm falling on my knees
Offering all my needs
Jesus You're all
This heart is living for

Broken I run to You
For Your arms are open wide
I am weary but I know Your touch
Restores my life
So I wait for You
So I wait for You

LIFEbox PUP unstoPUPble Team Building 2014 for a Grapeindor!

I just really enjoyed yesterday and I missed my teammates so much! (Grapeindor! - from Harry Potter's Griffindor) I gotta write about what happened! :) I gotta share!

It's such a privilege to be the Alumni Admin  and to be with this family. :) We won the best effort team and the best in cheering. :) Not just that,  I think I won too. I won in seeing firsthand on how my group mates' heart develop for the team. Ending up volunteering, sharing ideas, caring for each other deeply and messaging, liking sharing our Creative shot pic. It's just amazing on how we all wanted to just Honor God in everything we'll do.

Sabi nga ng aming leader na si Matt, if we will not grow in this event, bale wala din ito. I believe sobrang grabe yung growth ng bawat isa. Personally, grabe. Who would've thought that they would choose me to be an Admin this year?! Nun palang talaga nag saya ko na and yung prayer is to be the Admin that He wants me to be. I hope nagampanan ko sya ng maayos. Maging maayos lang sila, okay na. And sobrang lungkot when you realized na minsan may pagkukulang ka din. Whew, by Grace we made it. I made it. Amazing! :)

Hope for my Heart

I just don't know why I'm feeling sad and I just don't know why I'm crying. Tears just fell when I read the words "I loved you at your darkest".  Not because I felt "sadder" of course but because I felt free again to come to Him.. I just want to share whatever I'm feeling.

Maybe it's still all about  guilt. I feel so guilty every time I will not eat or delay it to save money. I will feel so guilty every time I would buy food  when I'm not supposed to (dahil naka budget na ). I feel so guilty that maybe I'm not praying enough. I feel so guilty because I don't feel like liking other group's entry. I feel so guilty for not treating a friend right and for not being generous to her..I feel so guilty that maybe I'm not encouraging Monica enough or maybe I'm not being a good Admin in our Team Building. I feel so guilty that I'm not having that fruitful Quiet Time with Dad nowadays. I just so miss Him. I feel so guilty that I don't look blooming every day (seriously) meaning I feel guilty that maybe Christ is not seen in me.   I feel so guilty of not having a costume for our Halloween party, for not being sure if I'll go there first before going to Ate Misha's wedding..guilty..guilty..guilty...

Sometimes, I  lose hope for my heart. I feel so frustrated as to why I'm like this. I'm wondering if  I will change, that my heart could just be new and have His heart in a snap at all times. I feel so weak.
It seems that I can't do anything. I feel so sleepy and time just passes by. Looking in the blogs and sites, looking at people's IG. It seems that they're having a life and me watching and adoring it instead of having my own.

Obviously, there are lies in my head right now. But here's the truth:

There's always hope in Him. I'm being sanctified. I am predestined to be like Christ (that's a promise). His Grace is sufficient. His power is made perfect in weakness. He adores me. He will help me  to take good care of my body and to be a good steward at the same time. He loves me and nothing and no one could ever change that. In all of these all I could do is just continue to believe and have faith.
As they say "Faith  is not a feeling." Trust. Continue to worship. Fight to seek Him. Cry and pour out my heart to Him. He understands..He understands..much that I can't understand myself..

Then I remember,  smile..for Jesus.

12 ways to make a Birthday Celebrant smile Brighter!

It's the day after my birthday. I just can't help but realize things that actually made my heart flutter and made my smile brighter yesterday and also, at the same time I realized  those things that I hope happened.   I can't help but to desire to do the  things that would make me smile  to the people around me.  As the Bible says..

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. - Matthew 7:12

And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' - Matthew 22:39

So here's the list of what I think would be sweeter for a birthday celebrant:

1. Greet them hours ahead! :)

Someone texted me or greeted me hours before my birthday! The fact that they don't need Facebook to remember. And oh the thought that someone's anticipating it (not just you, haha) ! :)

2. Prepare the gift ahead of time (pray for it as well).

Honestly, it's pretty sad when pahabol ang gift. Pero the birthday celebrant would appreciate pa din naman (mas masakit ata yung sasabihin na ihahabol pero waley din di ba?)  I think preparing the gift shows an anticipation as well for your friend's special day. :)

3. Prepare a little surprise.

I saw a gift under my pillows before I go to sleep! :)

4. Greet them longer.  :)

Astig yung mga greeting na may encouragements! Reminiscing the past..at pambobola. Joke. :) really..it's so wonderful..:)

When I'm 21

When I'm 21... (because I'll never be 21 again)

All glory to Daddy God alone. In every moment between of these events, He is there.  :)

When I'm 21....

I became the best teacher.

I had my own VG.

Amazed

I made it. Amazing! :)

Here are the pics:

Well, actually, kahit na makita ko lang ang name  a timeline or sa inbox ko greeting me. Sobrang saya ko na eh. My heart is so full already. :)

Birthdays are  so AMAZING!!!!

The best way though is reminding her that You died for her, of her destiny in You..of Your unending, unfailing, ever-faithful LOVE for her.. (Oooops that's what Daddy God did.Hehehe)

Thanks be to God for everyone who came into my life. :)

Thanks for the Greetings and Gifts and the friendship and love in between!! :)
