On Missions and Submission

I always love the weekends. Especially the productive ones. I always thought that weekends are really meant to be documented. Yester
day was such a productive, meaningful and fun-filled one so I decided to write about it. Here's why:

9 AM. I attended the Worship Service with my Mom again  in Victory Ubelt after so many months! Lovely!

9AM. It's the world missions series again. This year, it's called "Uncharted". It's about reaching the cities of the world for Jesus. :)  The world missions series is so meaningful to me. I think it's always like that when there's a special date for me, laging natatapat na World Missions ang topic. Like during my anniversary of attending Victory and also during my September 2012 Victory Weekend.  My heart is beating for it now.

To the far ends of earth we go..Your love story must be told...

10:30 - 12:NN I ate lunch with my Mom. She told me that two of her workmates want to come with her in Manila (there's a possiblity that we could invite them to join us in a Worship service as well). and also, my Mom told me that  she's attending a Bible study every Wednesday now! WHOA!

12NN - 12:45PM I talked with ate Emme about some girly stuff that I have in mind. Like "Okay lang ba magpaganda? and "Paano mambasted?"

She told me that, it's okay to be beautiful as long as the motivation is right. It's like letting people see that the King of kings and the Lord of lords is taking care of me. "Si Lord ang nag aalaga  kaya blooming" (that's  what we are praying for na maging impact). And also, she asked if I'll look "manang" do I think other people would be attracted to Christianity/ in following Christ? No because they'll think it's 'baduy" or boring.  Be elegant not daring she added. Because we need to protect men's eyes from sinning. Be modest. :)

And when it comes to pambabasted, hmm bakit ko nga ba ito naitanong? haha. We'll naiisip ko talaga na I don't want to be rude when I don't like someone pero I know that I have the tendency to do something not nice. I think iiwasan ko na agad agad at never na ako makikipagusap ulit. Not even glance again once na nagtapat ang taong ayaw ko. haha. Ang samang thought no? on the other side, I also have the tendency to settle for less because I'm afraid to hurt other's  feeling. Lalong mas malupit noh? Hindi ko na napaglaban si Man of God ko!!!

That's why I need wisdom.

Based on experience, she said that she really talk to the guy and tell him na friend lang talaga ang  turing nya sa kanya. She also said na pinapagalitan nya din minsan. Saying... "You know maybe you're giving me something that belongs to someone else..maybe I'm not the girl for you "

She then told me about her MOG. She wants a prayer warrior! (gusto ko din to, hahaha) Anywa, our conversation ended. :)

1PM I served God through the ushering ministry. :) Kuya Jeric called me 'Yael" (hahaha, maybe because he read my testimony) and also he gave us "Fresh Berry" a snack from Korea. It's so delicious!!! I want more. I'll definitely buy a box when I go to Korea. In Jesus' name. Amen. :)

3PM I waited and reserved a seat for Angelo (my High school friend)  but he's so late. I end up giving the seat to Gabby and Myra. :)

5PM As team Admins in the up coming Lifebox PUP team building, Myra and I went to Calda Pizza for a meeting. That was really fun.Kasama namin ang mga Team leaders and the organizers.  Ngayon pa lang mainit na ang labanan! HAHAHA! I declare VIOLET team will win! Above all, I pray that we'll all have fun and enjoy. :) During the break out session (meaning , all girl/ admin meeting) I learned that being an Admin is a practice of submission. "Let them lead". "Let them lead".

7PM Lastly, Myra and I went back to the center to find Ate Yoko. She will also apply for Missions next year! And she shose Krygyzstan as well. If the Lord permits, we'll go together. It also came to me that perhaps we'll be needing 100 Thousand for that. Whoa. Si Lord na talaga ito. Nanliit ako bigla but then yeah,NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE RIGHT? IF IT"S HIS WILL, IT"S HIS BILL!!

Daddy, 100,000 please? Thank you! :)

MIBF 2014

Last Saturday (September 20, 2014)  we went to the 35th Manila International Book fair. Alongside with this is our monthly my VFs' (Victory Friends') VG (Victory Group).

This was vowed to be a yearly bonding time for us - Christian books lovers. :) I've been there with my friends Ana and Gabby last year and we enjoyed a lot. :)

Being there this year was such a miracle since there was really strong Typhoon "Mario" last Friday!

Well, how was the experience this year?

It was fun too! After our VG in Mcdonalds..off we go to the SMX Convention Center in MOA. I was with Ana, Jo and Jill (our friend from Lifebox - PUP). We hastily went to the CSM booth wherein the Christian Books that were formerly 250 or 275 became 100!!!!

I bought 3 books for me and 3 books for Gabby.

Gilas ni Lord

I always want to write about the joy of Discipleship. I have moments when I think "I will definitely write about this". Like during the Victory Weekends of the girls I'm leading. Being the participant of Victory Weekend is a whole lot of wonderful experience itself  BUT SENDING someone there is another! It's magical. Iba talaga ang joy ko. hahaha! Anyway, I will still fail to write about that,  maybe next time (ayan procrastinating). Hahaha.Actually, today I'm gonna write about one means of  Discipleship, which is the "Inviting to the Service" part.

I've been praying for this friend for almost 3 years now to attend the Youth Service. 3 years. I remember it started during the "Game Plan" series of Victory U-belt. The Pastor usually use basketball as an illustration. Thus, I can't help but be reminded of this friend of mine. He's into basketball so sobrang I can't help thinking and imagining that he's there with me listening to the same message.  Ayun, I invited him and I was somehow rejected by chances or reasons or excuses or time or whatever. Three years passed.

I was surprised though that one night while having dinner with our other friends, He simply told me  "parang gusto kong I try victory jan..". (Poker face and pa cool look na parang wala lang) I said,  "cge one time, tara" (or maybe something like this lang). Hindi ko na talaga maalala since sobrang saya ko na inside. Nakailang talon siguro ako sa isip at puso ko. Yes!

After some weeks of struggle again because of the unmatched schedules, last night was the fulfillment.  I was so nervous and all. We agreed that I will wait for them and reserve seats. The Victory Worship was there and 30 minutes na silang late (my friend and his friends)! I didn't want them to miss that EPIC praise and worship so sobrang kaba talaga. Nakailangang surrender ako kay Lord sa kung ano ang will Nya for that night. Great thing too that I'm with my Team 4 family (Ate Yvonne and Kelly) at that time. Of course I can't disciple men so sobrang blessing si Kelly (yes, he's a guy) I really pray that it's the start.

They came and I'm so glad that he brought 3 other men with him. Yung dalawa, first time din! We laughed together, we listened to the message together. I'm so happy that Ptr. Julius Fabregas was so cool! He talked about basketball in his preaching! So napaka nostalgic talaga. It was like yesterday that I'm imagining my friend to be there and now, he's here! He's here! (yan yung thoughts ko at that time). Whoa! And during the altar call, one of them raised his hand! Amazing talaga! Parang pinag pawisan pa nga ata ang kanilang mga mata eh. (not that sure) ;))))

My friend then texted me after we part ways "Thanks... sobrang blessed ng experience!"

Because of this I learned na  don't be afraid  ma reject in inviting someone in a service..one day they will say din  "Sige na nga..matagal mo na ko iniiinvite eh".  Yun #boom moment na yun.

Discipleship starts in a genuine concern (that is planted by God).

Napaka Gilas talaga ni Lord. :) 3 points! :)
